Another reverse victory LG secures a winning series against KIA

But what about the '105 pitches in 4 innings'?

For the second straight night, the LG Twins pulled off another come-from-behind win in front of a sellout crowd against the leading KIA Tigers. However, starter Enns' four-inning, 105-pitch outing left a sour taste in the mouth.

LG won 6-3 on April 27 against KIA in Jamsil. With the three-game winning streak, LG moved to 16 wins, 13 losses, and two ties for fourth place in the league.

The 23,750 seats at Jamsil Stadium were sold out for the second consecutive day. It was the fourth sellout of LG's home games this season.

LG took the early lead. In the bottom of the first inning, first baseman Park Hae-min was caught in a fielder's choice, but two batters later, Kim Hyun-soo singled to right and Austin Dean doubled to left. Austin drew a fastball from Kia starter Hwang Dong-ha for a huge arch that traveled 123 meters and had a bat speed of 173 kilometers per hour.

Kia harassed LG starter Detrick Enns in the top of the second inning to pull within one run. Leadoff hitter Lee Woo-sung singled to right, stole second and advanced to third on a grounder. Han Jun-soo brought him home with a single to left.

After squandering a two-out, three-run opportunity in the top of the third, Kia wasted no time in tying the game in the top of the fourth. Socrates Brito took a cut fastball up the middle for a leadoff solo shot.

After tying the game, KIA loaded the bases with consecutive singles by Han Jun-soo, Choi Won-joon, and Park Chan-ho before Lee Chang-jin's sacrifice fly made it 3-2.

LG fired up the cannons in the bottom of the fourth inning to regain the lead at 5-3. Kim Bum-seok, the “genius hitter,” hit a three-pitch fastball from Hwang Dong-ha to center field for a two-run double.

Kia's bullpen, Kim Sa-yoon, gave up three consecutive walks to the next three 토토사이트 batters to push across the go-ahead run.

LG increased its lead to 6-3 in the bottom of the eighth on Kim Hyun-soo's RBI single with runners on first and second.

LG relied on its bullpen of Lee Woo-chan (5th), Kim Dae-hyun (6th), Kim Yu-young (7th-8th), and Yoo Young-chan (9th) to prevent further damage.

LG starter Enns allowed three runs on eight hits (one home run) on 105 pitches with four strikeouts and one walk in four innings, his shortest outing of the season since April 4 against the Jamsil NC Dinos (seven runs on nine hits in four innings). It was a bit of a disappointing result considering the expectations of a “No. 1 starter.

Kia, on the other hand, was no slouch at the plate with 12 hits (1 home run) and 1 walk, but continued to miss opportunities in scoring position, resulting in their ninth loss of the season (20 wins).

The game also featured two automatic pitching review system (ABS) errors.

The ABS failed to track a two-pitch fastball thrown by LG Lee Woo-chan to Kim Sun-bin in the top of the fifth inning and a fastball thrown by Kim Dae-hyun to Lee Chang-jin in the top of the sixth inning.

Eventually, the umpire grabbed the microphone and explained to the crowd that he had called the balls on his own according to the rules. The call did not affect the outcome of the game as Kim struck out and Lee retired the next two batters.
