About the Position:

• Deliver essential nursing care to a diverse population of inmates with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document progress meticulously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Provide emotional support and patient education on disease management and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Foster a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a correctional facility or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure and challenging environment.
• Familiarity with correctional healthcare policies and procedures a plus.
