Manchester City's De Bruyne Left Out of Belgium Squad in March due to Groin Injury

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne of the English Premier League (EPL) was excluded from the Belgium national team during the March international match due to injury.
De Bruyne was not included in the list announced on the 14th (local time) for the Belgian national team that will play two consecutive away games against Ireland (23rd) and England (26th) during the March international match period.
Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco told a press conference that De Bruyne was suffering from a groin injury and said: "We cannot take risks, and neither can Kevin."
De Bruyne has been playing since January after being sidelined for an extended period of time due to a hamstring (muscle behind the thigh) injury from August to December of last year, at the beginning of this season, but has faced injury issues again.
He started as a starter in the EPL away game against Liverpool on the 10th and played until the 24th minute of the second half before being replaced.
The BBC and the Associated Press reported that De Bruyne will also miss the English Football Association (FA) Cup quarterfinals against Newcastle scheduled for the 16th.
"I don't know if there is a link between the two injuries," said Tedesco.
"It's our responsibility to decide that if the risk is too high it's better to protect him.
Give him time to recover and get him ready for the Euros.

The injury of key midfielder De Bruyne is particularly bad news for his team, Manchester City.
After the international match period following the FA Cup quarterfinals against Newcastle, a match against the league's leading rival, Arsenal, is scheduled for the 30th.
