The Model 3 from Tesla, which goes on sale in 2023, is the company's most affordable vehicle. Its battery-powered powertrain and chassis are shared with the Model Y crossover SUV. The Model 3 has a rear-wheel-drive format and starts at around $45,000 for the Standard trim. It has smooth, nearly silent power and a driving range of about 260 miles.
In order to increase redundancy, the Tesla All-Wheel Drive has two independent motors, each of which has just one moving part for maximum durability and minimal maintenance. They digitally control torque to the front and rear wheels, unlike conventional all-wheel drive systems, for much better handling and traction control.
Strong off-the-line performance, intuitive and responsive steering, and coordinated and nimble handling all contribute to the Model 3's sporty and engaging feel. The base model trim retains the straight-line thrust we admired in the early Long Range models.
With a 0-60 mph time of about 3.1 seconds, the Model 3 Performance model will appeal to fans of fast driving. That's quick enough to challenge several supercars, much less comparably sized luxury sedans like the BMW 3 Series.
The Model 3 is approximately the same size as the BMW 3 Series, and there are currently three versions available: an entry-level model known simply as the RWD, a Long Range version intended to (yep, you guessed it) maximize distances between charges, and a range-topping Performance variant that promises Porsche 911-beating acceleration.
The cutting-edge convenience and safety features of Autopilot are created to help you with the most difficult aspects of driving. Learn more about the Model 3 by speaking with a Tesla Advisor.
Unlike any other car, the Model 3 has a unique interior. The central 15-inch touchscreen can be accessed with your smartphone as a key and contains all driver controls. From every seat, the entire roof is glass, giving the impression of openness.
For the brand, the Tesla Model 3 has been a game-changer, and it more than lives up to the considerable hype. It has an outstanding battery range, is just as incredibly quick as Tesla's other vehicles, and is a pleasure to drive. Although its cabin is a model of simplicity and is very practical, it is stuffed with useful technology. Perhaps most importantly, it's affordable enough to allow a wide range of buyers to own a Tesla.
What’s more, having been out in front for so long, Tesla is now in a situation where the established brands are doing more than simply playing catch-up.
