WW2 Japanese Sword. Handmade Samurai Katana Signed By Toshihiro. 1863.
Antique japanese samurai sword 1863 obtained during world war 2 as a war trophy. The inscription on the blade reads 雲州住俊広造之 or ”Unshū jū Toshihiro kore o tsukuru” which is the signature of a sword maker named toshihiro Izumo province. During this time period he lived and worked out of matsue castle.

Since 1582 when Toyotomi Hideoshi was shogun, only samurai were allowed to wear swords, and since the Military Conscription Act(1873) they were forbidden to be carried, the sword could have been from a samurai that belonged to the Genyosha(Dark Ocean Society) or even the Kokuryukai(Black Dragon Society).
